As Bilecik Demir Çelik (BDÇ), our values on the journey to decarbonisation have been calculated and reported in accordance with the ISO 14064-1:2018 Establishment Level Greenhouse Gas Inventory Calculation standard, based on the production data of 2021. At the end of the audit process carried out by Bureau Veritas, our Corporate Greenhouse Gas Inventory was verified.
In this evaluation, which covers our melting, metallurgical processing, casting and rolling processes from scrap to final product, our emission values have been calculated in all the scopes required by the standard and the total value of “0.67 tons CO2 / ton rolled product” has been verified. As Bilecik Demir Çelik A.Ş., we undertake to reduce our value for this journey, which is one of the best known values for the steel production industry, by 40% until 2040.
