Our Goal in Carbon Footprint is “NET ZERO”

Bilecik Demir Çelik has announced its 2030 and 2050 emission commitments within the framework of its vision of responsible steel production. As BDÇ, we promise to reduce our 2021 carbon footprint by at least 40% until 2030 and to become carbon neutral by 2050.

BDÇ Reduces Carbon Footprint

We are reducing our carbon footprint, our slag waste will now be at the service of user sectors as an alternative aggregate for concrete and bitumen applications, as approved by TSE.

2021 Efficiency Project Awards

In the 2021 Efficiency Project Awards Competition, which is coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology General Directorate of Strategic Research and Efficiency and organized for micro, small, medium and large enterprises and public institutions throughout the country, BDÇ received the second prize among medium-sized companies.

Circular application in CBD

Bilecik Demir Çelik, a member of the platform, made a study on the production potential of secondary raw materials from waste refractories used in the steel production facility, by making use of the ‘The Circular Vouchers’ technical support program.
